Machine Operative

Flexsource are currently recruiting an experienced Machine Operative on behalf of our client in the Shannon Aera. This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading manufacturing company offering long-term career opportunities in a modern, fast-paced engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC, NC, and conventional machinery.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Perform machine programming, editing, and troubleshooting.
  • Inspect finished components to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Carry out routine machine maintenance and maintain a safe, clean work area.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and Lean Manufacturing practices.
  • Work collaboratively across departments as required.

What We're Looking For

  • Certificate or Diploma in an Engineering discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
  • 7–10 years' experience in a machine-oriented manufacturing environment.
  • Essential: Proven experience operating and programming CNC machines.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A flexible approach with a commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Candidates must be available to work both day and evening shifts as required.
