Flexsource are currently recruiting for experienced Welders, for our client based in Dublin Port.
You will be responsible for repairing shipping containers and general repairs.
Key responsibilities:
- Weld components and assemblies, using electric, gas, arc, or other welding equipment
- Cut work pieces, using powered saws, hand shears, or chipping knife
- Melt lead bar, wire, or scrap to add lead to joint or to extrude melted scrap into reusable form
- Install or repair equipment, such as lead pipes, valves, floors, and tank linings
- Remove rough spots from work pieces, using portable grinder, hand file, or scraper
- Heat, form, and dress metal parts, using hand tools, torch, or arc welding equipment.
- Assist with the handling of containers as dictated by the Company’s customer’s requirements.
- Operate equipment, plant and machinery, which may include forklifts and empty handlers
- Assist with the general housekeeping/cleaning of equipment and work areas
- Assist with the general workload of the repairs department.
- Assist the repairs teams as required in maintaining the Company’s equipment and vehicles
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience in similar role
- Welder qualification
- Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications to plan layout, assembly, and welding operations
- Forklift license would be an advantage
Hours of work:
- 07.00 - 18.00
- Monday - Friday
- 4 days out of 5
Rates of Pay:
- €19 - €21 (DOE)
