From their dedicated Solutions Centre in Kilcoole, the team supports corporate and private clients with a comprehensive range of medical support products designed for short-, medium-, and long-term care in homes, hotels, and residential settings.
Due to an internal promotion, our client is now seeking an experienced and highly capable Warehouse Operations Manager to lead operations at their Wicklow facility.
The Opportunity
The Warehouse Operations Manager will oversee all day-to-day activities within a fast-paced, GDP/GMP-regulated environment, ensuring the efficient and compliant distribution of critical medical equipment and supplies. The role will lead a team of five, managing recruitment, training, development, and performance while driving continuous improvement across warehouse operations.
This is a key leadership role, supporting the wider business through effective cross-functional collaboration, strict adherence to regulatory standards, and a relentless commitment to operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
• Manage daily warehouse operations, including goods-in, storage, order picking, packing, and dispatch of medical and pharmaceutical products.
• Ensure all activities meet GDP/GMP, regulatory, and internal quality standards.
• Continuously assess workflow and identify opportunities to improve processes, productivity, and operational efficiency.
Inventory & Compliance
• Oversee stock accuracy through cycle counting, reconciliation, and inventory optimisation.
• Ensure warehouse equipment is properly maintained in line with manufacturer guidelines and regulatory expectations.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment in compliance with health and safety standards.
People Management
• Lead, manage, and develop a team of five warehouse operatives.
• Oversee full employee lifecycle activities including recruitment, onboarding, training, absence management, and performance management.
• Recognise and celebrate individual and team achievements, helping to maintain a positive and high-performing culture.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Work closely with logistics, procurement, and customer service teams to schedule deliveries and resolve supply chain issues.
• Partner with Quality & Regulatory teams to ensure full compliance with GDP/GMP standards and internal SOPs.
• Liaise with suppliers, customers, and service providers as required.
Experience & Profile Requirements
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Warehouse Manager or Senior Warehouse Operations role, ideally within a regulated or pharmaceutical environment.
• Strong understanding of GDP, GMP, GXP, or similar regulated frameworks (highly desirable).
• Third-level qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related discipline preferred.
• Proven experience in people management, with the ability to lead, mentor, and develop teams.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships internally and externally.
• Strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Proactive, driven, and focused on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• Experience with SAP is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in stock management systems (e.g., Sage) and strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
