Job Title: Supply Chain & Distribution Operations Manager

Location: Dublin 15

Organisation: Commercial Postal and Packaging Distribution 

Hours: 6:00am – 2:00pm, Monday to Friday (On-site only)

Salary: Highly competitive base salary + Defined Benefit Pension + Night Shift Allowance (10 hours/week paid to compensate for the 6am start time)

About the Role:

In partnership with the commercial distribution business of the postal service, Cpl are seeking a highly accomplished and experienced Supply Chain & Distribution Operations Manager to lead a key operational site within Ireland’s state postal service, based in Dublin 15. This is a unique opportunity to join the rapidly expanding commercial division of a trusted national organisation, playing a critical leadership role in shaping the future of sustainable logistics in Ireland.

Key Responsibilities:

•           Lead the day-to-day operations of a high-performing distribution centre with up to 90 staff.

•           Manage and optimise a fleet of 60 fully electric HGVs, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and sustainability.

•           Provide strong leadership and direction to a team of three operational managers.

•           Oversee and continuously improve logistics, routing, and distribution processes to ensure best-in-class service delivery.

•           Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and operational regulations and best practices.

•           Drive employee engagement, performance management, and professional development across the team.

•           Monitor KPIs, implement continuous improvement initiatives, and report performance to senior leadership.

•           Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence.

Requirements:

•           Proven experience in a senior logistics, distribution, or supply chain leadership role.

•           Demonstrated ability to manage large teams and complex fleet operations.

•           Strong understanding of sustainable logistics and electric vehicle fleet management is a distinct advantage.

•           Exceptional people management and leadership skills – leads by example and inspires performance.

•           Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.

•           Comfortable working on-site in a fast-paced, early-start operational environment.
