Rigid Driver (Airport Operations)

Job Description:

We are currently recruiting Rigid Drivers for one of our clients, a leading aviation services provider based at Dublin Airport.

This is a full-time opportunity for experienced Class C drivers seeking a role in a secure, structured airport environment.

Key Duties:

• Driving rigid HGV vehicles in a secure airport environment
• Completing daily vehicle checks and reporting defects
• Loading and unloading catering trolleys and equipment
• Positioning vehicles at aircraft stands in line with training procedures
• Carrying out security checks, search & seal procedures, and associated documentation
• Loading aircraft according to galley plans and airline requirements
• Liaising professionally with flight and cabin crew
• Correct use of digital tachograph
• Maintaining vehicle cleanliness
• Assisting with general warehouse and ad hoc duties as required

Key Requirements:

• Full Class C Driving Licence
• Digital Tachograph Card & Driver CPC – essential
• Previous HGV/rigid driving experience
• Airport/airside experience an advantage (training provided)
• Ability to pass Garda Vetting, CRC, and 5-year background checks
• Eligibility to work full-time in Ireland

Hours, Pay & Benefits:

• 5 days over 7 – rotating shifts (05:30–13:30 / 06:00–14:00)
• €20.97 per hour (standard rate)
• Overtime:
  • 1.5x after 39 hours – €31.45 per hour
  • 2.0x after 4 hours overtime – €41.94 per hour
• Sunday premium: €23.07 per hour
• Early hours premium (05:00–07:00): €26.21 per hour
