Port Operative
Location: Wexford
Pay Rate: €20.05 per hour
Hours: Shift work between 5:00am and 6:00pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday shifts (6:00am – 12:00pm).
About the Role
Flexsource Recruitment is currently seeking a Port Operative to join a busy port operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with experience in plant machinery or container handling to work in a fast-paced port environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the movement of containers throughout the port.
- Operate an 80-tonne reach stacker (training may be provided for the right candidate with relevant experience).
- Carry out general operative duties as required.
- Support the safe and efficient loading, unloading, and movement of containers.
- Follow all health and safety procedures while working on site.
- Work as part of a team to ensure smooth day-to-day port operations.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience operating plant machinery is highly desirable.
- Experience working with containers or within a port, logistics, or transport environment is an advantage.
- A strong focus on health and safety.
- Reliable, flexible, and able to work shift patterns.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
