About the Company

To support this growth, we are seeking an accomplished Senior Engineering Maintenance Manager (Line Maintenance Manager) to lead and develop the Line Maintenance Department. This is a pivotal leadership role with significant responsibility under EASA Part 145, directly influencing operational performance, safety, and compliance as the company scales.

Role Overview

As the Line Maintenance Manager, you will be the Nominated Person acceptable to the Authority in accordance with EASA Part 145.A.30 (b). Reporting functionally to the Chief Operations Officer (COO) and with direct access to the Accountable Manager, you will ensure that all line maintenance activities are executed to the highest standards of safety, compliance, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide overall management of the Line Maintenance Department under EASA Part 145.
  • Notify the Accountable Manager of any deficiencies requiring attention, including financial or compliance concerns.
  • Review and process Safety Management System (SMS) reports in accordance with procedures.
  • Drive implementation of the company’s safety policy, addressing human factors, and promoting a proactive safety culture.
  • Lead root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions to resolve compliance deficiencies identified during audits.
  • Ensure that line defect rectification and all line maintenance tasks are carried out in compliance with approved standards.
  • Guarantee adherence to the organisation’s procedures, standards, and regulatory requirements during all maintenance activities.
  • Maintain sufficient levels of competent personnel to plan, perform, supervise, inspect, and certify work.
  • Ensure the competency and training of all maintenance staff, establishing robust training and continuation programmes.
  • Oversee the provision of facilities, hangars, workshops, office accommodation, and stores appropriate to the scope of work.
  • Implement and manage effective production planning systems aligned with the complexity of maintenance operations.
  • Ensure the availability of tools, equipment, materials, and maintenance data for planned tasks.
  • Record, track, and escalate any inaccurate, incomplete, or ambiguous maintenance data or instructions encountered by staff.

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience in the aeronautical industry in a leadership or equivalent capacity.
  • Relevant aeronautical degree or EASA Part 66 Aircraft Maintenance Licence.
  • Strong practical experience and expertise in aviation safety standards and safe operating practices.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of aircraft systems and structures through formal training courses.
  • Solid background in maintenance methods, planning, and quality management.
  • In-depth knowledge of applicable regulations (EASA Part 145 / Part M / Part CAMO and UK CAA requirements).
  • Proven leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire, develop, and lead high-performing engineering teams.
