Cpl are proud to partner with one of Ireland’s most established heritage brands in the food manufacturing industry to support them in sourcing a key leadership hire for their Dublin 24 production facility.

Due to continued business growth and the expansion of their product portfolio, the company is now seeking an accomplished Engineering Manager to join their team. This is a full-time, on-site position reporting directly to the Operations Director, offering the opportunity to play a pivotal role in driving the site’s engineering performance and long-term development.

You will be a key member of the site leadership team, managing and leading a team of 11 engineering and craft personnel, along with multiple contractors and 3rd party service providers. The role covers all aspects of site engineering including utilities, facilities, maintenance, projects, CAPEX, and site security.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and develop a high-performing site engineering team.

• Oversee all engineering support for manufacturing operations to ensure optimal equipment performance and uptime.

• Manage multiple projects addressing equipment obsolescence and drive improvement initiatives across the plant.

• Maintain validated states of all engineering systems and lead system revalidations where required.

• Ensure compliance of engineering systems with internal standards, safety regulations, and external regulatory guidelines.

• Oversee troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of high-speed filling, packaging, and assembly equipment.

• Continuously improve engineering processes and standardisation in control systems, utilities, and automation.

• Manage site utilities, facilities, and energy systems to deliver efficiency and reliability.

• Lead and manage CAPEX and major project execution within agreed budgets and timelines.

• Support internal and external audits and ensure prompt implementation of corrective and preventive actions.

• Own and implement disaster recovery processes and ensure system back-ups as part of preventive maintenance.

• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure engineering solutions support production, quality, and supply chain performance.

• Drive integration between Operations Technology (OT) and Information Technology (IT) systems on site.

Candidate Profile / Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Engineering or a related discipline.

• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in engineering management roles within a manufacturing environment, ideally food, FMCG, or pharmaceutical.

• Proven track record leading, developing, and motivating engineering teams in a high-volume production setting.

• Strong project management skills with experience managing CAPEX and obsolescence programmes.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a structured and hands-on approach to technical challenges.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels.

• Demonstrated ability to manage compliance, validation, and continuous improvement in a regulated manufacturing environment.

• High degree of organisation with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
