Cabinet Maker/Carpenter

Our client is a reputable workshop based in South Dublin who are currently looking to recruit for a Cabinet Maker/Carpenter. You will be responsible for manufacturing high quality units. You may also be required to fit units into commercial facilities

Responsibilities:

·        Read blueprints, drawings, and work orders to understand specifications and plan the construction process.

·        Mark out, cut, and shape wood and other materials using hand tools and machinery such as power saws, jointers, and shapers

·        Join parts and subassemblies together using glue, dowels, nails, screws, or clamps to form completed units like cabinets, furniture, or fixtures.

·        Trim, sand, and scrape surfaces to prepare them for finishing. Apply stains, veneers, polishes, or varnishes to create a finished product.

·        Install hardware like hinges, handles, and drawer pulls. In some roles, this may extend to installing the finished pieces on-site.

·        Ensure all finished pieces meet high standards for craftsmanship, fit, and finish. 

Requirements:

·        Carpentry/Joinery Qualification

·        Full Irish driver’s license (as may need to travel for fitting purposes)

·        Safe Pass (preferred)

·        Manual Handling

Hours:

8am -5pm Monday to Friday (flexibility required)

Salary:

Upto €23 per hour (DOE)
