Salary: 33.000K – 35.000k


Working hours: 8:30 am – 17:00 pm Mon – Friday


Reporting to: Group Procurement Manager  


The Role:

The Trade Counter & Warehouse Administrator will be responsible for managing various administrative tasks within the warehouse, including customer interactions, order processing, stock management, and general housekeeping. This role requires effective communication both internally and externally, ensuring smooth and efficient operations to support overall business objectives and customer satisfaction. 


Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Attend to and greet all walk-in customers. 
  • Deal with enquiries and orders over the phone. 
  • Communicate effectively both internally and externally. 
  • Liaise with customers through various methods – phones/email/walk-ins. 
  • Process incoming sales orders, quotation requests and inquiries. 
  • Respond to enquiries as quickly and efficiently as possible. 
  • Liaise with couriers regarding customers’ orders. 
  • Ensure complaints and issues raised by customers are quickly resolved. 
  • Offer professional product advice and maximise every sales opportunity. 
  • Order Picking & Dispatch. 
  • Loading and unloading of lorries. 
  • Goods inwards & put away. 
  • General housekeeping. 

Ideal candidate will possess:

  • Experience of working in a Building merchants-based role.
  • Experience of computers – Intact would be hugely beneficial. 
  • Good organisational and time management skills. 
  • Be able to work as part of a team. 
  • Be willing to take ownership of issues that arise and deal with them to find a solution. 
  • Excellent customer service skills. 
  • Ability to work in a pressurised environment. 
  • Counterbalance Forklift licence. 
  • Manual handling certificate.
