Job for Engineering / Maintenance Supervisor based in Kildare
The client is currently expanding their maintenance function and would like to invite applications for the job of Maintenance supervisor
The successful candidate will be a senior member of the site maintenance team both on the preventative maintenance programme and also on strategic maintenance projects.
This job will have responsibility for supporting production in achieving optimum plant performance, with adherence to health & safety standards.
The responsibilities of this job include the following:-
Ø Implementation & management of maintenance strategy projects which include systems of planning, controlling and measurement of plant effectiveness and efficiencies i.e. life cycle management planning.
Ø Promoting, developing and implementing “best practice” principles and maintenance systems i.e. CBM (Condition Based Monitoring), Lean manufacturing.
Ø Identifying and assessing equipment and systems that are identified as Critical Equipment and ensuring the correct maintenance policy is in place incl. spares holding.
Ø Ensuring preventative maintenance programs are in place.
Ø Managing maintenance performance, determining root cause of issues and implementing solutions.
Ø Delivering on agreed KPI's of plant availability, effectiveness and costs.
Ø Managing direct reports i.e. crafts, contractors.
Ø Managing maintenance expenditure.
Ø Providing weekend management cover as part of a team.
The successful applicant for this job will have the following experience and qualities;
Ø Formal electrical Qualification or Third level Degree qualification in an Engineering Discipline.
Ø Extensive experience within a high-volume and high speed manufacturing environment
Ø 5+ year's significant maintenance or engineering supervisory management experience.
Ø A proven track record driving continuous improvement.
Ø Strong people management experience.
Ø Strong PC skills, Microsoft Office (Word, excel and MS Project), SAP (MM and PM)
Ø A strong working knowledge of CMMS systems i.e. Maximo, PEMAC, SAP PM.
